CCNMA Job Opportunities Conference Gathered Information

Last week I attended the CCNMA Job Opportunities Conference and found some useful information on internships and graduate school.
INTERNSHIPS
-The Chips Quinn Scholars Program for Diversity in Journalism (paid) internship opportunity deadline has been extended until OCTOBER 30th, ergo not a lot of people applied. They are giving students one more chance to apply for this. They are placing students in different publications across the country.
-KABC- TV is looking for interns for the Spring semester (unpaid)
-KTLA is looking for interns for the Spring semester (unpaid) – KTLA is looking for diversity in their newsroom and want to hire on interns from different campus and they take about ten to twenty per semester.
-The Disney Television Group is offering job and internship opportunities for rising juniors, seniors and recent graduates

GRAD SCHOOL
-Columbia University offer’s several different graduate school programs like, a Master of Science or Arts in journalism and a have a Ph.D in Communications program.
-The City University of New York offers a 16-month graduate program that will guarantee an internship after the second semester of the program.
