While the ghouls and goblins came out to play, CSUN Latino Journalists satisfied everyone’s hunger with fresh baked goods during their Halloween “Spooktacular,” bake sale.
From 10:30AM-2PM cookies, brownies, pies and sugared skulls topped the decorated table stationed in front of Manzanita Hall. Club members held signs, played music and called out to passerby’s encouraging them to support the club.
“One dollar, one dollar!” yelled Nathalie Ramirez, CSUN LJ event coordinator, as she romanced the campus dancing in a Gypsy costume.
Students came and the baked goods went quickly, with all items being sold at only 1 dollar each. The club was wise enough to offer water for sale as well at a cheaper rate than offered at on campus vending machines to quench everyone’s thirsts.
With much success the club plans to have future bake sales and will be posting information about them on twitter, facebook and on posters through out the Halls of Cal State Northridge.
